General Online Technical Requirements
Participants taking Online courses will need to have regular access to a Macintosh (800 mHz G3 or G4 processor) or Personal Computer (Pentium III or higher) with at least 56K or greater modem connection (DSL or Cable modem recommended) and reliable Internet service connection (some campuses may provide). A minimum of 80 megabytes of free disk space on the hard drive is needed and at least 64 megabytes (128 MB is recommended) of random access memory (RAM). Software requirements to access the World Wide Web, a Web Browser like (Netscape 7.0, FireFox 2.0 and up or Microsoft Internet Explorer 7.0 and up) are highly recommended. Additional software programs will be provided via downloads. Participants will be expected to have common knowledge of their own computer and skills necessary to use electronic mail, Internet, chat rooms and the World Wide Web. Be sure to check with the campus that you registrar the course with for additional technical requirements.
